Online Dating Investment Scam
After chatting online for 3 weeks, your new romantic interest says: "I have an amazing cryptocurrency investment opportunity. I made $50,000 last month! Let me help you get started — just send $500 to this wallet address."
Red Flags
- ⚠You have never met this person in real life
- ⚠They quickly steer conversation to money
- ⚠Promises of guaranteed high returns
- ⚠Asks for cryptocurrency — nearly impossible to recover
Safe Response
Never send money or cryptocurrency to someone you have not met in person. This is a common romance/investment hybrid scam. Block and report the account.
